Description
A commissioned painting of Linda's Uncle Joe and Aunt Vera May. The reference photo was taken as they were leaving a family gathering, Vera May is carrying a dish she brought, cars and trucks were in the background. Their marriage of over 65 years were spent on their farm near Seneca, MO. I mentioned the shirt pattern gave me a challenge but I was determined to include it. I received this comment in return...."I'm glad because those checkered/plaid shirts are just so intrinsically tied to my image of him." A wonderful couple, I decided the background should be of their farm, their little corner of the world.
