Description
Notice the width of the exterior wall at the window. A bar of lye soap is on the washstand. I remember my grandmother cooking lye soap over a wood fire out in the front yard of her home. A stick is in the corner to assist in hanging a garment on the Shaker Pegs above. See that scratchy blanket at the foot of the bed? I had one like that when I was in the Navy.
