Description
Recently I created a series of 12 small original abstract watercolors. I had not created an abstract painting since my college art classes almost 50 years ago. I wanted to see if there was anything there. I was pleased to discover much of what I have learned and developed in my 48 years of watercolor painting was a firm foundation for this new direction. This then is a larger painting, still in keeping with the methods and procedures of those first 12 experiments. To paint these is quite a rush, to begin a journey with no end in sight, no destination to reach, no target to hit. Very enjoyable. 5 o'clock somewhere, time to kick back, relax and enjoy the achievements and discoveries of the day.
